We want you to be as head over heels with your invitation suite as you are with your fiancé. Therefore, we offer unlimited proof revisions so we know we have it just perfect before sending to print.

In addition to our cotton stocks, we offer handmade paper, vellum, velvet, wood & acrylic.

We offer raised ink printing, letterpress printing and foil printing. If you are unsure of which method will be best for you, we'll help guide you based on your style and budget. We are also happy to send samples so you can experience these options first hand.

Embellishments

Our proposals always include the option for wax seals, curated vintage stamps, envelope liners & edge painting, just to name a few. These small details amount to lots of love for your suite once it's held in your hands.

What's Included In Wedding Stationery

On average, clients spend $4,500 (based on quantity of 100) for a custom wedding invitation suite and $5,500-10,000 for all of their wedding stationery (save the dates, wedding invitations & day of wedding paper).
While we can accommodate quantities as low as 25, our minimum investment is $2000.

We suggest reaching out 6-10 months before your wedding day. We limit our services to only a handful of clients every season to give each couple a one of a kind experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m looking for custom invitations for my wedding. Where do I begin?

You’re in the right place! Here at Lewes Lettering Co., we offer custom wedding invitations, Save the Dates, and day of options to create a cohesive look for your event. 

Begin by filling out this questionnaire. Once we receive your inquiry, we’ll contact you to schedule a complimentary design consultation, either in person for local clients or over the phone for out of town clients. Together, we’ll bring your vision to life by reviewing paper swatches, printing methods, wording and more, so feel free to invite any loved ones you’d like to be involved in designing your suite. 

After the consultation, you’ll receive an itemized quote and design contract. At this time, we request a 50% deposit to reserve your space. Once we receive your deposit, we’ll start designing and send you a first proof. We offer unlimited proof revisions until you are 100% satisfied with your invitations.

What is your turnaround time?

Our design process typically takes 1-2 months, and printing an additional 1-2 months. 

For invitations, we recommend you contact us 6-12 months before your event, so you receive your suite at least 2 months before the big day. 

For Save the Dates, we recommend you get in touch 7-14 months before your wedding, as they are typically mailed 6 -10 months in advance.

The design of day of details such as menus, programs, and signs should begin about 3 months before your wedding.

We are sometimes able to accommodate rush orders, so please feel free to inquire even if your wedding is right around the corner. 

Can you incorporate an image or personalized drawing in my suite?

Absolutely. Some of our favorite suites have included maps, venue sketches and monograms created by our clients or their loved ones. Alternatively, we have a talented team of artists available to create any personalized touches you’re looking for.

What printing methods do you offer?

We offer three beautiful printing options depending on your preference and price range. You’ll have the opportunity to view all three - letterpress, foil printing, and raised ink printing - in person or digitally during your design consultation before deciding what works best for your suite.  

Are you able to address, assemble or mail my invitations for me? 

We can assemble, curate and place stamps, and mail invitations to streamline the invitation process for you. Additionally, we offer guest addressing with hand calligraphy or printing that coordinates with suite, tying all of the pieces together.

Can I drop by the store to check out your work in person?

We’d love to welcome you anytime to our boutique located in Lewes, DE, but request you make an appointment if you’d like to chat one-on-one about your wedding invitations. Our consultations last 90 minutes on average, and we’'d like to reserve that time on our calendar so we can meet uninterrupted.
